Meet our Book Mentors...Including a New One!
Ready to write your book in 2026? The Narratively Book Incubator starts next week, and we're so excited that we've added one more mentor to the mix!
Thanks so much to everyone who joined today’s Meet the Mentors session with the 2026 Narratively Book Incubator instructors. Those of you who joined us live got first dibs at our big announcement: Because the incubator is almost sold out, we’ve decided to add a 4th section with a brilliant new instructor, Shawna Kenney!
Shawna is a wonderful, long-time member of the Narratively community who has worked with hundreds of writers as a private writing coach, a creative writing instructor with the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program, and as a teacher at Narratively Academy. She is the author of the award-winning memoir I Was a Teenage Dominatrix, co-author of the oral history Live at the Safari Club: A History of harDCore Punk in the Nation’s Capital 1988–1998, editor of the anthology Book Lovers, and co-author of Imposters. Shawna is going to teach a Monday evening (East Coast time) section of the book incubator, to go alongside the three sessions we already have with Kern Carter, Audrey Clare Farley and Claire Rudy Foster.
For those of you who missed the Meet the Mentors session this afternoon, you can watch the full thing below. We answered questions from writers and gave each of the instructors the chance to tell us a a bit about their approach to writing and teaching.
Ready to get writing? You only have a few days left to sign up!
