Happy Monday, writers! It’s been awesome to see the wonderful comments from so many of you who have been moved by Amy Gabrielle’s fantastic story “Widow in the City” which we published earlier this month over on Narratively.com.

That story is an excerpt from Amy’s just-published memoir, “Widow in the City: A Memoir of Heartbreaks and Hookups.”

For the past few weeks, Amy has been immersed in a whirlwind that’s not quite like any other: The Book Launch. Of course, it’s a fun time, but also a confusing and at times overwhelming one. This Thursday at 1 p.m. ET, Amy is going to take a quick break from her book launch to join us for a special live “Open Book” conversation about how she finished her memoir and landed a deal—and talk us through what the book launch is really like.
