Bestselling Author Ada Calhoun Joins Us Live This Thursday!
We're excited to chat with the prolific writer about her recent novel, Crush, her long, winding and fascinating career doing just about everything in the business, where she gets her inspo and more.
Update: Our live conversation with Ada was great! Paid subscribers can watch it here.
Perusing a list of Ada Calhoun’s professional accomplishments, it feels hard to fathom that just one person has done so much. And not just so many things, but so many things that are deeply interesting, ahead of their time and really span the gamut. She’s written five books that are on all the lists — from New York Times bestsellers, to best books of the year, to most anticipated — and you can find them in every corner of a bookshop, too, from fiction to nonfiction to women’s issues. She’s also a ghostwriter, one of the cofounders of the nonfiction women’s bar night Sob Sisters, a former Sanskritist (!!!) and, honestly, a pioneer of cool.
We’re so lucky to have Ada join us for an Open Book session this Thursday, August 14, at 3 p.m. ET, to talk about her recent novel, Crush, her first, where she finds inspiration for her books, her career as a ghostwriter, her prolificity and so much more.
This chat will be held on Substack Live. Simply open up your Substack mobile app or head to NarrativelyAcademy.com on your desktop this Thursday at 3 p.m. to access the live video stream.
P.S. Did you know that we also host a weekly morning writing hour called Writers’ Room for folks to write alone-together? It’s every Wednesday morning from 8-9 ET, and it’s the perfect place to come to work out the kinks of your new essay, brainstorm your next novel or polish off a paragraph you’ve been struggling with. Head here for more info, and we hope to see you tomorrow morning!
