A veteran of many Narratively Academy classes, Anne just made her debut in this much sought-after New York Times column with her fabulous piece, "The Sexting Seniors of Assisted Living."
Beautiful story. I related, as I'm watching my own strong, opinionated father soften and become vulnerable. At 82, divorced and widowed, he's wondering what to wear on dates and how to fix his thinning hair. After reading this late-in-life love story, I see my father's dream of new love isn't impossible.
I laughed, I cried...no, really. I don't know how hard you worked to tell your mom's story perfectly, but it was worth every second you labored. I'm so glad that they had those years.
I listened to it yesterday on the NYTimes. It was wonderful.
I couldn't love this more. Congratulations to Anne! I'm so excited to read this essay.
This made me cry. Congratulations, Anne!
Congrats to Anne and to you, Brendan! (The editor doesn't always get a nod.)
